Shipping Policy

Thank you for supporting Galgorm Melts. We want to ensure your handmade items arrive safely and swiftly. Please find our shipping terms below.

1. Delivery Zones & Exclusions

We are a small, independent micro-business based in Northern Ireland. At present, we only ship orders to addresses within Northern Ireland and the rest of the United Kingdom. We do not offer international shipping, and orders addressed outside of the UK cannot be processed at checkout.

2. Processing & Dispatch Times

We aim to handcraft, pack, and dispatch your order as quickly as possible. All orders are posted within 2 to 3 working days after purchase (excluding weekends and bank holidays). This timeframe allows us a realistic buffer during exceptionally busy periods, such as seasonal rushes and Christmas.

You will receive an automated email notification from Shopify as soon as your order has been fulfilled and dispatched, which will include your tracking number.

3. Domestic Shipping Rates

  • Standard Shipping: We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 as our standard service.

  • Cost: £4.79 flat rate.

  • Coverage: This rate covers all valid postal addresses across NI and the UK.

4. Delivery Requirements & Safe Places

Because we use a fully tracked service, you must provide a valid mobile number and/or email address at checkout to receive delivery alerts.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure a safe, secure delivery location is available. Royal Mail will provide photographic evidence of delivery. Galgorm Melts cannot be held responsible for items that go missing after they have been successfully delivered to your designated property or specified "safe place."

5. Courier Delays & Lost Parcels

We do everything we can to get your parcels out on time. However, once an item is with Royal Mail, unexpected delays (such as seasonal backlogs, severe weather, or regional courier issues) are outside of our control.

  • Delays: We cannot issue refunds for orders that are temporarily delayed in transit due to postal backlogs or industrial action. If widespread courier delays are known at the time of posting, Galgorm Melts reserves the right to use an alternative domestic courier service at our discretion to keep your order moving.

  • Missing Parcels: In line with Royal Mail’s standard terms, a parcel is not officially classified as "lost" until 10 working days have passed from the expected delivery date. We are unable to track down, replace, or refund missing parcels until this 10-working-day window has closed.
