At Galgorm Melts, your safety and peace of mind are our highest priorities. We strictly adhere to all UK and European chemical safety laws, ensuring that every single handmade soy wax melt we create is fully compliant, beautifully fragranced, and rigorously documented.

What is CLP?

CLP stands for Classification, Labelling, and Packaging. Under the CLP Regulations, all home fragrance products containing hazardous mixtures (such as fragrance or essential oils) must display clear safety labels. These labels identify potential allergens and include standard safety precautions.

Our CLP compliance processes have been thoroughly assessed and verified by the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council's Environmental Health Department, giving you total assurance that our products meet the highest official safety standards.

What is a UFI?

A UFI (Unique Formula Identifier) is a specialized 16-character alphanumeric code.

Because Galgorm Melts is proudly based in Northern Ireland, we operate under strict compliance with European chemical frameworks (Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008). This requires businesses to register specific hazardous product formulations with the Poison Centres Notification (PCN) portal.

  • Why it matters: In the highly unlikely event of accidental ingestion or exposure (for example, a pet or a child getting hold of a wax melt), an emergency medical responder can type our 16-digit UFI code into their database to instantly see the exact chemical composition of the product, allowing them to provide rapid, precise medical advice.

  • Where to find it: Where legally required, our unique 16-digit UFI number is printed clearly on the back label of your Galgorm Melts product. If a UFI is not present on a specific scent, it simply means that the fragrance blend does not trigger the statutory hazard threshold required to need one.
